The most notorious serial killers in the world had four star signs in common.

Astrology has exploded in popularity online over the last few years, with millions of people turning to zodiac charts, birth signs, and personality readings to better understand themselves and everyone around them.

From relationship compatibility to career choices, star signs are constantly blamed or praised for certain behaviors on social media.

And while scientists have repeatedly stated there’s no evidence linking astrology to personality traits, that hasn’t stopped people from obsessing over it.

Now, one viral TikTok video has reignited the debate after a creator noticed something chilling about some of history’s most infamous serial killers.

And according to viewers online, the similarities are difficult to ignore.

Astrology has become more popular than ever online

Whether people fully believe in astrology or just treat it as harmless fun, zodiac content dominates platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X.

Millions of users regularly share memes about their signs, discuss ‘toxic’ zodiac pairings, or compare personality traits associated with different constellations.

The idea behind astrology is that the position of celestial bodies at the time someone is born can supposedly influence their personality, emotions, and behavior.

Each zodiac sign is linked to different traits.

Virgos are often described as perfectionists. Geminis are portrayed as unpredictable and dual-natured. Pisces are considered emotional and deeply sensitive, while Sagittarius signs are usually labeled impulsive and adventurous.

Of course, there’s no scientific evidence proving any connection between star signs and criminal behavior.

But that didn’t stop one TikTok creator from digging into the birth dates of some of the world’s most notorious murderers — and what she found quickly went viral.

TikTok users were stunned by the similarities

TikToker Lauren Elaine Skirvin, who describes herself as an ‘armchair astrologist,’ shared a video analyzing the zodiac signs of famous serial killers.

The clip included infamous names such as Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez, and Ed Gein.

While discussing the list, Skirvin pointed out that the killers appeared to overwhelmingly belong to just a handful of zodiac signs.

“These are the zodiac signs of the most famous serial killers,” she said in the viral clip.

“For those of you that don’t believe in astrology, how can you explain how there are only four signs included in this long list?”

The video quickly exploded online, with viewers flooding the comments section to debate whether the pattern meant anything at all.

Some people found the similarities genuinely unsettling.

Others treated it more like entertainment than actual evidence.

“As a Virgo, this does not surprise me,” one person joked.

Another commented: “Pisces are CRAZY when it comes to love I can confirm!”

“Speaking from experience, if you’re dating a Virgo RUN!” someone else added.

Meanwhile, another viewer wrote: “I’m a Scorpio we’re secretive and calculated so…”

Some astrology fans also pointed out that several of the signs mentioned are considered “mutable signs” in astrology — meaning they appear at the end of seasons and are associated with adaptability, unpredictability, and emotional shifts.

Still, plenty of people pushed back against the theory entirely.

Critics argued the list was selective, unscientific, and more reflective of internet confirmation bias than anything meaningful.

Others noted that with enough famous criminals to choose from, patterns can easily appear even when there’s no actual connection.

The internet became obsessed with one sign in particular

Although multiple signs appeared repeatedly in the viral list, one zodiac sign stood out more than any other.

According to Skirvin’s breakdown, Virgo appeared more frequently among famous serial killers than any other sign.

Names linked to Virgo in the video reportedly included Terry Blair, Henry Lee Lucas, and Paul Bernardo.

Referencing the trend, Skirvin joked: “Virgo shows up the most, that’s crazy.”

“You know that their crime scenes are immaculate though,” she continued. “And they’re perfectionists, so no stone is left unturned.”

She then moved on to discuss the other signs that repeatedly appeared in the list.

“Gemini is the next most frequent, not surprising to anybody,” she said. “Jeffrey Dahmer is a Gemini.”

“Pisces is not surprising either, they let things build up and then explode.”

As for Sagittarius, Skirvin admitted she found that one more unexpected.

“Sagittarius is the most surprising,” she explained. “But they are impulsive and chaotic if you mix that with mental health issues, and I can see that happening.”

Interestingly, Skirvin also admitted she was shocked one particular zodiac sign did not initially appear in the list at all.

“We don’t know if that’s true or not,” she said while discussing Scorpio. “But have you ever seen a Scorpio pop off? It’s so frightening.”

The discussion sparked thousands of reactions online, with people either passionately defending astrology or mocking the entire theory altogether.

There was one major correction after the video went viral

As the TikTok continued spreading across social media, viewers began fact-checking some of the information included in the original list.

Eventually, Skirvin uploaded a follow-up video acknowledging there had been at least one mistake.

She clarified that serial killer Alton Coleman had accidentally been listed as a Sagittarius when he was actually a Scorpio.

That correction led to even more debate online, particularly among viewers joking that Scorpio had finally ‘made the list.’

Skirvin also admitted the compilation was never meant to be viewed as scientific research.

According to the creator, the names were “cherry-picked” and did not represent every serial killer in history.

That disclaimer didn’t stop the internet from becoming fascinated by the apparent zodiac overlap, though.

And while astrology experts, scientists, and skeptics all continue disagreeing over whether zodiac signs have any meaning whatsoever, the viral discussion left many people side-eyeing their horoscopes afterward.

The four star signs repeatedly linked to the infamous killers in Skirvin’s viral video were Virgo, Gemini, Pisces, and Sagittarius.
