Hogan became one of the biggest stars professional wrestling has ever seen after exploding onto the scene in the 1980s.

With his trademark handlebar moustache, bandana, and larger-than-life personality, he became the face of WWE during its rise into mainstream entertainment.

His popularity helped launch the very first WrestleMania in 1985 and turned wrestling into a worldwide phenomenon.

Over the course of his career, Hogan won multiple world championships and became known for legendary rivalries with stars including Andre the Giant, Randy Savage, The Rock, and Vince McMahon.

Family concerns emerged after his death

In the months following Hogan’s death, questions began circulating about his health in the weeks leading up to his passing.

Police conducted an extensive investigation

The Clearwater Police Department launched a comprehensive investigation following Hogan’s death, the Independent reports.

According to the department’s final report, investigators reviewed medical records, witness statements, surveillance footage, and emergency response documentation, and conducted a visual examination of Hogan’s body.

Authorities also interviewed several individuals who were present during Hogan’s final moments.

According to investigators, Hogan’s wife, Sky Daily Hogan, was with him at their Florida home alongside a home health aide and an occupational therapist when he suddenly stopped breathing.

Emergency services were immediately contacted.

Police stated that Sky called 911 while those present began performing CPR until paramedics and firefighters arrived on the scene.

Investigators also reviewed Hogan’s lengthy medical history.

Family members reportedly told police that the wrestling star had been dealing with several serious health conditions in the weeks before his death.

These reportedly included leukemia, kidney failure, pneumonia, and an irregular heart rhythm.

The report also noted that Hogan had undergone numerous surgeries and hospitalizations throughout the later years of his life.

Early comments made by an occupational therapist initially sparked speculation that a recent surgery may have damaged Hogan’s phrenic nerve, potentially contributing to his death.

However, the therapist later clarified that he had been speaking while shaken by the emergency situation and did not have any evidence to support that theory.

As investigators continued their review, no evidence emerged suggesting any criminal activity.

Hulk Hogan’s cause of death confirmed

After completing their investigation, Clearwater Police formally concluded that Hulk Hogan died of natural causes, per TMZ.

In a 72-page report released by authorities, investigators stated there was ‘no evidence to indicate the death of Terry Bollea was anything other than natural.’

The report further concluded that there was ‘no evidence to indicate any criminal wrongdoing related to his death.’

Police officially closed the case and classified it as a non-criminal death investigation.

The findings support the conclusions previously reached by medical professionals.

According to the report, the local medical examiner determined that Hogan died from a heart attack and declined to perform a full autopsy.

A separate private autopsy commissioned by the family reportedly reached the same conclusion, finding no evidence of traumatic injuries or toxicological factors that contributed to his death.

With the investigation now closed, authorities have officially confirmed that Hulk Hogan died from natural causes following a heart attack, bringing an end to months of questions surrounding the wrestling legend’s final days.
